20th Anniversary

Mission –  Volunteer! Baton Rouge has provided services to the community for the past 20 years. Since 1988 Volunteer! Baton Rouge has been a vital resource for the Greater Baton Rouge area. Volunteer! Baton Rouge builds the capacity of local non-profits by helping them to utilize volunteers to carry out their mission. Volunteer! Baton Rouge also helps businesses develop and strengthen their employee volunteer programs as well as provides individuals with opportunities to volunteer through our VolunTEENs Volunteer! Baton Rouge is dedicated to mobilizing people and resources to deliver creative solutions to community needs.and Hands On Baton Rouge programs. Other Volunteer! Baton Rouge programs include VolunTEENs, the Volunteer Connection, Directors of Volunteers in Agencies and the Excellence in Corporate Volunteerism Awards

On Saturday June 21st Volunteer! Baton Rouge volunteers, staff and board members celebrated the 20th Anniversary of Volunteer! Baton Rouge with a ceremony followed by a volunteer service project. The project provided a face lift for Volunteer! Baton Rouge as volunteers gathered to paint the interior offices of Volunteer!  Baton Rouge. Volunteers were recruited through Hands On Baton Rouge the newest of Volunteer! Baton Rouge’s programs.  Serving on the 20th Anniversary Committee were Mike Anderson, Committee Chair; Patty Newton, Nelsene Peters, Sugar McAdams, and Nancy Cadwallader.
